9.0... a car door and a face can bend spectacles
So I found out tonight that eye glasses can be bent if I opened the door of my van to get in while still standing in the way of said door. I really think that I need to recalibrate my perception of my body and my surroundings because just the other day I walked full stride into the edge of a door with my little toe. It is now twice its normal size. Back to my eye glasses... they "adjusted" themselves to fit between the door and my face. It really really hurt. I'm curious to see how much of a black eye I will have from the experience.
5.0... what's with the numbers?
So it was pointed out to me that I should probably explain why the posts' titles start with a number. My friend identified that one of my speech patterns was to use the phrase, "So it's interesting..." (easily identifiable as the name of this blog). She started to ask, "how interesting; on a scale of 1 to 10". That way she could decide whether it was worth her time to listen or just pretend like she was listening. Now I say a number which represents how interesting I think the noteworthy piece of information is.

6.5... motorcycle shop won't repair tires
6.5... I went to the motorcycle shop in my town to have my motorcycle tire repaired because I noticed a nail stuck in it. The guy said he couldn't get it worked on until Tuesday and it may take a while to get the new tire ordered. What? I just want the nail removed and the tire patched. He said they don't patch tires because of current laws. So it made me realize that they don't want to be sued and maybe I should be more concerned about the quality of the tires that I am riding on since there are only two on a motorcycle. It is just frustrating because the tire only has about 100 miles on it. I brought the bike back home because I'm considering selling it and letting the next owner deal with the situation.
